Frimley Park NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest acute Trusts in the South East which is renowned for its excellent clinical care and friendly atmosphere. The Frimley Park site anaesthetic department has 46 consultant anaesthetists. Frimley Park Hospital has one of the largest trauma and orthopaedic departments in South East England. There are 27 orthopaedic consultants with over 40 elective lists per week.

This Fellowship is aimed at senior trainees who are in possession of the FRCA (or equivalent) or CCT holders seeking specialised training in regional anaesthesia. The Fellowship can be adapted to support the Fellow in developing specific interests. The post is for 6-12 months commencing August 2018. The post offers the level and breadth of experience necessary for gaining approval for training, but this would need to be applied for prospectively by the successful candidate, if so desired.

Candidates will be allocated to dedicated regional lists during daytime and participate in the on-call rota working in either obstetrics, intensive care or theatres. Once they are competent they will have the opportunity to run regional block lists independently.

This fellowship has run successfully for the past 5 years. In addition to teaching clinical regional anaesthesia we create opportunities for motivated individuals to enhance their professional development.
