Dr.Osama Sami Maki Al Ani
Dr. Osama Sami Maki Al Ani is a Senior Specialist, Anesthesia Department in Rashid Hospital, U.A.E. He earned his Diploma in Pain and Diploma in Regional Anesthesia from the University of Montpellier, France in 2011. He is a Fellow of Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization (Specialty Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Unit) and M.B.Ch.B Iraqi Medical College of Al-Nahrian University.
He is recognized as Director of Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia Course by DHA (Dubai Health Authority).
Dr. Alani is a faculty member of BAPA (British Anaesthesia Pain Academy).He actively organizes PanArab Congresses in UAE and Middle East and North Africa Anesthesia& Pain Congresses Dubai UAE. He is the Rashid Hospital, Anesthesia Department CME (Continuous Medical Education) Coordinator and collaborates with other DHA, Private hospitals and Universities alike in UAE, to conduct the regular Journal Club Meetings and other courses/ workshops. He also actively participates in various researches, studies, audits that aim to improve the management of pain and improving patient’s care. He supports the formation of IASP (International Association for the Study of Pain) in Dubai. He is also one of the supervisors for Saudi Board Anesthesia Residency Program.
Dr Naved Ahmed is a Senior Specialist Registrar in Anaesthesiology at Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre, Dubai Health Authority, UAE. His specialist interests are in regional anaesthesia, ICU and trauma. Dr Ahmed completed postgraduate training from India and has over 7 years’ experience in UGRA. He completed his Diploma in regional anaesthesia and pain management from University of Montpellier, France.
Dr.Altaf Hussein Kazmi
Dr Altaf Hussein Syed Kazmi is a Senior Specialist in Anaesthesiology at Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre, Dubai Health Authority, UAE. His specialist interests are in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia and acute pain management.
Dr. Kazmi has a certified Diploma from Montpellier University in Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Management. He has been actively involved in teaching ultrasound guided regional blocks for the last few years.
Dr Shailendra Chaudhari is a Senior Specialist Registrar in Anaesthesiology at Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre, Dubai Health Authority, UAE. He completed his Diploma in regional anaesthesia and pain management and also the Diploma in interventional pain medicine from University of Montpellier, France. He is a tutor in Trauma and advanced life support courses. His specialist interests are in US guided regional anaesthesia, vascular access and echocardiography.
Dr. Sumit Gulati is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at Walton Centre of Neurology and neurosurgery and Aintree University Hospitals in Liverpool, UK. He trained in Anaesthesia in India before doing post graduate training in Manchester and Leeds, UK. He also completed a pain fellowship in University College London Hospitals. He has a special interest in complex spinal pain, painful peripheral neuropathies, pelvic pain and neuromodulation. He teaches in workshops for interventional pain, ultrasound guided blocks both in UK and internationally over the last ten years. He has also organised courses at Royal College of Anaesthesia UK and ESA.
Dr Manar Mamdouh is currently working as a Specialist Anaesthesiologist at Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre, Dubai Health Authority, UAE. Dr.Mamdouh completed her MB.BS and MD in Anaesthesiology from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She has also completed the Diploma in regional anaesthesia and pain management and also the Diploma in interventional pain medicine from University of Montpellier, France. She is a faculty in many teaching courses and also a speaker in Dubai International Anaesthesia Conference, 2016 and the MENA Congress, 2017
Dr. Paridhi Mehta (MD Anesthesia) is a senior specialist with more than 15 years of clinical & teaching experience. Presently, she is working as an Anesthesiologist in Rashid Hospital & Trauma Centre since last 9 yrs.
She has done Postgraduate Diplomas in Regional Anaesthesia & Chronic Pain Management, which have been areas of her professional interest and clinical focus. Dr Paridhi has been an active member of the faculty in teaching programs and hands-on workshops for regional anaesthesia and pain management courses held at Rashid Hospital in collaboration with the University of Montpellier, France.
Dr Rahul Guru is a consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in the UK. He has trained in India, Ireland and UK and is currently working as consultant in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. After completing his training in anaesthesia, he undertook fellowships in pain medicine in Ireland and England prior to his appointment as consultant. Dr Rahul Guru has led and been involved in many research projects and published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has been a faculty member in various courses and conferences. Dr. Adil Kamal
Dr.Adil Kamal underwent medical training at King Abdul Aziz University college, Saudi Arabia. Dr.Kamal completed residency & fellowship training in regional anesthesia & pain management from the reputed Dukes University Medical Centre, North Carolina and is an American Board certified anaesthesiologist. Dr.Kamal is currently a consultant in anaesthesia and pain management at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr.Kamal is a member of the scientific committee for anaesthesiology & critical care, the Saudi commission for health specialities.
Dr. Alattas Ahmad is consultant in Anesthesia & Critical Care, Pain management at the Ministiry of National Guard Health Affairs, King Abdulaziz Medical City. He is also an Assistant professor & Program director of Anesthesia Technology bachelor degree. He serves as a faculty of applied medical science at the King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University, Jeddah.
He completed his D.E.S Anesthesia and critical care at the prestigious Pierre & Marie-Curie University inParis VI and was a fellow at ULB, Erasme University Hospital, Brussels in Belgium.
Dr Al Harbi is the divisional head of Regional anaesthesia and the Chairman of the anaesthesia department in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. He is Canadian board certified and completed his Regional anaesthesia fellowship in the University of Ottawa, Canada in 2008.
He has numerous publications and is an avid teacher with more than 20 national and international presentations.
Dr. Husni Alakkad is an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. After completing his residency training at the University of Toronto, he pursued two fellowships, in Regional Anesthesia and Chronic Pain Management with special interest in ultrasound guided interventions. Dr. Alakkad has also worked on point-of-care ultrasound for perioperative gastric assessment.
Dr. Nafa Alsenosy obtained his medical degree from Tripoli, Libya. He was Canadian Board certified in 2009 and then completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia And Acute Pain Medicine in 2011 from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
He worked for almost 5 years at the St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal which is a high volume Orthopedic surgery and Obstetrics center. He is currently working as a Consultant Anesthesiologist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Jeddah and has numerous educational interests.
Dr Daghistani is a senior Consultant Anesthesiologist in Thoracic, Regional and Acute Pain in the private sector. He has completed his residency training in Canada and obtained fellowship in University of Ottawa, Canada in 2001.
He has a strong educational and academic background and has presented in nearly 90 conferences and workshops. He is also an examiner in the Final Clinical Examination of Anesthesia and Intensive Care for Saudi Board.
Dr Kattan is the Chairman Anesthesia Department in the King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah. He has completed fellowships (Neuropathic pain, Thoracic anaesthesia and Regional anaesthesia) In Canada.
He has previously headed numerous educational positions and was a pain fellowship training director till 2016. He was awarded the Best Tutor of the Year in Department of Anesthesia for the Academic Year 2006/2007.
Dr Ahmed Malik is a Consultant Anaesthetist King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Jeddah. He hails from India and graduated from one of the prestigious medical institutes in India, the Stanley Medical College and completed his MD from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai, India .
He furthered his training in the UK, achieving his FRCA in 2004 and subsequently completing his CCT in 2008. He is adept in ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia.
Dr Basim Sait is an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at King Saud bin Abdul Aziz University of Health Sciences, Jeddah. His has special interest in pain management. He has great interest in medical education, self-development, and advanced interventional pain management and is the section head of Pain Management Services and Director of Residency Training Program. He has attended and taught in numerous national and international Pain conferences.
Mr Mohammed Shoaib graduated in 1988 and received both basic as well as higher surgical training in various regions of the U.K. He has been a consultant in trauma and orthopaedics since 1997, specialising in hip and knee reconstructive surgery performing about 400 joint replacements a year.
He performs high volume surgery, sometimes up to 10 hip and knee replacements in a day. He also specialises in complex revisions, peri prosthetic fracture fixations, soft tissue reconstruction of the knee and trauma surgery.

Dr Gillian Foxall is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, with a special interest in regional anaesthesia and ultrasound-guided techniques. She supervises the regional anaesthesia fellowship and is Appointed Lead for regional anesthesia for the Trust. She completed the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia whilst a regional anaesthesia fellow at Nottingham in 2007. She is an Honorary Lecturer for the University of East Anglia for the MSc in Regional Anaesthesia. She is joint regional anaesthesia editor for Anaesthesia Tutorial of the Week. She edited both the regional anaesthesia & anatomy sections for textbook Final FRCA in a Box (published Sept 2012 by Taylor & Francis). She is a committee member for the London School of Regional Anaesthesia (LSORA) and teaches regularly on a number of national and international regional anaesthesia courses including – EBPOM, LSORA, Sonosite (Basic & Advanced) and East Surrey regional anaesthesia courses.
Dr Kate McCombe MBBS MRCP FRCA MA
Dr. Kate McCombe graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 2000. Following a general medical rotation and brief foray into the world of psychiatry, she began anaesthetic training in 2005 in London. Dr.McCombe completed a Master’s degree in Medical Ethics and Law in 2012 and in the same year became a consultant with a special interest in obstetrics and vascular anaesthesia at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey, UK. Dr.McCombe is currently working as a consultant anaesthesiologist at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai.
Dr.McCombe enjoys teaching and training and has published several articles on ethico-legal issues as well as co-authoring two successful text-books for the FRCA exam.
Outside of work, Dr.McCombe has a healthy obsession with cycling and has just signed up to cycle the whole Tour de France route in 2018.
Dr. Mazin Adnan is a senior anesthetist at Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital, Basra/Iraq. Dr.Adnan is the director of critical care unit and is also a trainer in the Iraqi and Arabic board of anaesthesia and ICU. Dr.Adnan is an ultrasound enthusiast and constantly strives to spread the use of ultrasonography for critically ill patients by all clinical specialties. He runs his own workshop and training sessions in both critical care ultrasound and ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia.
Dr Boyne Bellew BSc, MBBCh, DA(SA), FRCA, EDRA
In the past ten years Dr Bellew has worked in South Africa, Australia and the UK which has given him a wide range of experience of how different health systems work and the complexities and challenges we face in managing healthcare systems in the 21st Century. He is a consultant Anaesthetist at St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, one of London's major trauma centres. He has a special interest in regional anaesthesia and has completed a regional fellowship in Australia as well as achieving ths ESRA diploma. He enjoys running a regional teaching program and Imperial's regional anaesthesia fellowship program.
Dr Pallavi is working as Specialist Anaesthetist in Al Zahra Pvt Hospital, NMC Healthcare group, Sharjah. She has received both her undergraduate and postgraduate qualification from prestigious Seth G S Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Following which she went on to UK and procured the coveted Fellowship of Royal College of Anaesthetists. Her special interests are Regional Anaesthesia and Obstetrics Anaesthesia. She has recently been a faculty on the USGRA workshops conducted at Al Zahra Hospital and NMC Hospital, Dubai.
She is also Editor in Chief of Journal of Anaesthesia and Critical Care Case Reports (JACCR) and is also a Founder- Director of Anaesthesia TV, an online video journal. She has also contributed a chapter on Anaesthesia MCQ’S for post graduate entrance exams. Her passion includes teaching and creating awareness about Anaesthesiology and Basic Life Support amongst public.
Dr Seema Pandya is a Specialist Anesthestist at NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi. She received her anesthesia qualification from King Edward Memorial Hospital of the University of Mumbai. She is a Fellow of Univsersity of Toronto department of Anesthesia at the Sunnybrooks and Womens’ Health Science Centre. Her special areas of interest have been difficult airways and regional anaesthesia. She has been enthusiast for use of Ultrasound in Regional anesthesia since 2005 -2006 and has been actively involved in promoting its use. She has been a member of AORA. She has been instructor at NYSORA Abu Dhabi. She has special interest in Thoracic Epidural and has presented her work at many workshops and conferences.

Dr.Su Cheen Ng
Dr Su Cheen Ng is a Consultant Anaesthetist at University College Hospital London, UK. She has trained in anaesthesia and regional anaesthesia in various healthcare settings- Australia, Ireland and UK. She completed her regional anaesthesia fellowship at UCLH and obtained the European Diploma of Regional Anaesthesia in 2015. She teaches regularly in various RA courses- LSORA, EPBOM, ISRA. She is Appointed Lead for regional anaesthesia for the Trust.

Dr.Teresa Parras is a Consultant Anaesthetist at St.Georges Hospital, London. Dr.Parras is a regional enthusiast. She has described the PEC's and Serratus plane blocks along with Dr. Rafael Blanco. She is a member of the LSORA and faculty in ESRA workshops and may other international courses.
Dr. Kiran Koneti MB.BS, DA, FRCA, FCARCSI, EDRA
Dr Kiran Koneti is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management at City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust since 2013.
He trained in the Northern Deanery in anaesthetics and advanced pain management including post CCT fellowship in neuromodulation. His main interests are use of ultrasound in anaesthesia and pain Management and has a dedicated pain interventional treatment session offering ultrasound guided blocks.
He has been co - organising NUSGRA (Newcastle Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia) courses, the one of its kind course offering fresh cadaver block workshops in UK for both regional anaesthesia and pain management. Dr Koneti has also been an active collaborator in the north east in promoting ultrasound use in regional anaesthesia & pain management through NESRA (North East Society of Regional Anaesthesia) as its chronic pain/education lead and as treasurer for NEPG (North East Pain Group).
He has authored various topics in acute and chronic pain and has also presented novel techniques in regional anaesthesia for acute/ perioperative pain using ultrasound guided interpleural blocks & supra-inguinal fascia iliaca blocks. He is an active reviewer for neuromodulation journal, PLOS-ONE. His research interests led him to set up acute/chronic pain research for CHSFT.
